Safety

  • Any coats and bags might be checked
  • The staff is qualified to confiscate goods if necessary
  • You are required to provide an ID when requested
  • Bags are allowed if smaller than A4-format
  • Backpacks, suitcases, trolleys, shopping bags and laptop bags are not allowed

House rules

  • We ask you to dispose any waste in the waste bins
  • Please stay on the lanes within the terrain
  • Climbing on any obstacles is not allowed
  • Photography is allowed, though only for non-commercial use
  • The use of drones is not allowed
  • Dogs are allowed if on a leash
  • Please be attentive to your children, beware of the water sites
  • Riding a bike, moped or care is forbidden
  • Instructions of staff must be followed

Where can get information during the Fair?

At the entrance, at the right side behind the ticket-check you will find the Information counter.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are allowed if on a leash.

Is the sanitary adjusted for disabled people?

Yes, at the entrance and in the centre of the terrain are two toilets adjusted to disabled people.

Are there wheelchairs available?

Yes, after paying a security deposit you make use of a wheelchair. Unfortunately, to reserve a wheelchair is not possible.

Is there parking space adjusted for disabled people?

Yes, at the entrance of the Fair an adjusted parking space is available. You may use this parking space with an official parking card for the disabled. Traffic controllers will be on site.

Is the terrain accessible for people in a wheelchair?

All paths on the terrain are accessible, though some paths have gravel and are therefore more difficult to access when using a wheelchair. At the bigger pavilions are gangplanks to facilitate access. Unfortunately due to differences in ground-level, it is not possible to access smaller stands using a wheelchair.

Will there be traffic controllers present at the site?

Yes, you will be guided by traffic controllers at the event. The regular traffic rules apply.

Is enough parking space available?

Yes, the parking space on the fields around Castle the Hair is sufficient for all visitors. If due to weather circumstances, the fields are not available, the parking will take space in the surrounding area using a shuttle bus.

As from 2018, the parking terrain will be managed by Inventief Evenementen.

We advise you to check out the parking facilities beforehand on this website or on the Facebook-page of the Country & Christmas Fair or on Castle the Haar’s website.

Parking tickets are €8 and may be purchased at the entrance of the Fair or online through the ticket system.

Will the event take space during bad weather conditions?

Yes, the event will take place in any weather circumstances, wind, rain or snow.

Is it possible for larger groups to attend to the Fair?

Yes, groups of over 20 people may contact Inventief evenementenorganisatie for a group discount*.

Are there any First Aid facilities on the terrain?

Yes, every day a First Aid stand is present.

Baby

The First Aid stand provides space to change and feed your baby.

Is it allowed to take pictures or record videos?

Yes, except for film, images, and audio recordings for commercial use. Photographing for commercial use and with the use of a tripod is not allowed. This is only allowed after written consent of Inventief evenementenorganisatie.

Are there security cameras?

Castle de Haar has an operational video security system. Visitors agree that they might be recorded on video. The potential visitor will be informed of the video security system before entering the terrain. Video images will be kept by Castle de Haar for a certain period of time and will be handed out to the police if necessary.

Directions and parking

Amsterdam (A-2)

Exit 5 Breukelen, follow Kockengen and then Haarzuilens.
Follow the signs for ‘Evenement Kasteel de Haar’.

Den Haag (A-12)

Exit 15 De Meern, at the traffic lights turn left, through the overpass and left towards Vleuten.
Follow the signs for ‘Evenement Kasteel de Haar’.

Arnhem / Rotterdam (A-12), Den Bosch (A-2)

When driving towards The Hague (A-12), take exit 15 De Meern.

Bus transfer Vleuten trainstation

Twice every hour a shuttlebus departs from Vleuten trainstation to the Country & Christmas Fair. The first bus departs at 9.45am and the final one from the Fair at 10pm (Sunday at 6pm).
Return tickets are €4 per person.

Parking

The parking space is situated on the fields around Castle the Hair. If due to weather circumstances, the fields are not available, the parking will take space in the surrounding area using a shuttle bus.
